Dr. Waseem Abbas has 20   years of experience in medicine and medical oncology. He is a highly skilled professional/cancer treatment specialist who is dedicated to research in this field. After completing his MBBS in 2001, he joined Batra Hospital and Medical Research Centre from where he completed his MD (Medicine) and entered critical care. He joined BL Kapur Hospital as Research Fellow in Medical Oncology and completed his DNB there. Later, he joined Max Healthcare as a Consultant.
Dr. Waseem Abbas is a young researcher and has published many breakthrough research articles in national and international journals. He is an expert in delivering immunotherapy and targeted therapy. Breast cancer and immunotherapy are his research interests. He is a strong advocate of Precision Cancer Therapy where individual-specific treatment plans are tailor-made based on the genomic profile of cancer and further targeting it successfully with various options of immunotherapy/chemotherapy as well as targeted therapies. He is the Clinical Lead in Medical Oncology at Max Cancer Centre, Shalimar Bagh. Dr Abbas is also Primary Investigator of many national and international research projects and clinical trials
